AMD’s Chinese partner Vastarmor has announced a new graphics card based on a Red’s GPU. The brand has unveiled its RX 9060 XT Low Profile, a card equipped with a half-height PCB, but which still has three fans. It is an ideal model for cramped configurations.
RX 9060 XT Low Profile: a tiny card from Vastarmor!
With this card, the brand is offering us a compact model with limited height. As we can see, it features a three-fan heat sink and a long network of aluminum fins. The heating elements, as can be briefly seen, come into contact with a copper base. But what is always impressive with these cards is their small footprint. Despite its dual-slot format, this model measures 172 mm in length and 69 mm in height.
Be careful, though, because there is a slight twist with this model, and that is the GPU it uses. In fact, it does not actually use an RX 9060 XT chip, but the low-power version, a more energy-efficient version of the chip. By slightly sacrificing frequencies, power consumption and heat are reduced, allowing the GPU to fit on a small PCB for low-profile versions. The result is a TDP of 140W and a boost frequency of up to 3050 MHz.
The connectivity is limited to three video outputs, two DisplayPort and one HDMI. Given the power consumption, an 8-pin PCIe connector is required to power the card, which is located at the rear.
This is an ideal card if you are planning to build an ultra-compact configuration; it is one of the few cards that could meet your needs.
